Is this is the beginning of the end?

Summary – After nearly 1,000 days without missing a post, I’m running out of steam – and topics. Considering shifting to a more relaxed posting schedule.

For Joe

I’m sending you a big bouquet of roses

Last week was anniversary #53, wife’s birthday #39 πŸ˜‰ and Mother’s Day

For that threesome, my wife got two-dozen roses from our son

Β I don’t know if it’s worth continuing with the every day routine

Readership is pretty constant, just passed 500,00 views, but

Is anyone, including me, getting anything from

Not missing the occasional day or two once in a while

There are other things that I could be doing

Although I’ve been retired for 20 years

It’s almost like working on a real job

  1. Congratulations on all the milestones. With all the information flowing these days, I see no problem with you scaling back from daily posts. Get away from the keyboard and do other things πŸ˜‰

  2. Yes indeed, congratulations are in order! I thoroughly enjoy your blog and include it in my daily reading/learning. That said, if you miss a day or two, we’ll know that you’re doing something fun!

    • Thanks, Sarah.

I’m trying to decide between a schedule of sorts (like M, W, F or some such) or else whenever the Muse shows up. The latter appeals because it avoids “it’s Monday and so I gotta’ 😦 ” but its problem is that blog wisdom says that readers disappear if the blog appears on a random schedule.

Oh well, regardless of what I do the sun will still rise in the east every morning.

  3. Yes Ed, by all means relax your routine a bit !! And many congratulations on your ‘mile/mill-stones’. Thanks for all your contributions.

  4. Ed, you have earned a break, but don’t stop completely. Maybe a summer vacation. I have enjoyed following your blog. Nick

  5. Ed, congratulations on your 53rd. I agree with Sarah. I also read your blog on a regular basis and have learned a lot and followed many suggestions. But I surely understand your need to scale back. I thank you.. Rose
