Maine 2014 – Day #3

Summary Day 3: A panoramic view from across the harbor from where yesterday’s slide show was shot.

This was shot by-the-book (it’s an almost 180-degree view made up of seven stitched exposures; camera set to manual-everything + a perfectly leveled tripod)

22806 x 3161 pixels. Click to enlarge and then click again for 1:1 view. Scroll around the image. The detail – check the left side building – is pretty amazing.
hugin pano_DSC3487 - _DSC3492Above – no retouching at all. It’s the output of the panorama stitch program from seven RAW exposures.

Below – after a quick run through Nik Collection’s Color Efex Pro

Looking for detail? Here’s 1:1 from the small left-most building. And for level-tripod, note that the verticals are vertical.

    • You’re right. That’s where I was headed before stopping to make the panorama. Spent several hours there which is the subject of the next slide show.
